VSendDocs Inc. collects information in several ways across our network of websites and client-side software.

Some personal information is gathered when you register, including your name, email address, physical/mailing address, phone number, and fax number. This information is used for contact and account purposes and may occasionally be shared with VSendDocs Inc. partners, vendors, or sponsors when highly relevant.

We also collect information necessary for completing forms or serving documents related to workers’ compensation claims or other legal matters. This information is comparable to what you provide to your attorney, doctor, or insurance company and may already be publicly accessible unless a file is sealed. Personally identifiable medical information will only be disclosed as permitted by law.

We may request personal information at other times—for example, when you enter a promotion, make a purchase, or report a problem. If you contact VSendDocs Inc., we may keep a record of that correspondence.

2. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small amount of data sent from a web server to your browser and stored on your device. Cookies help us provide faster and more accurate service by allowing our systems to identify your device as an authorized user, among other functions.

3. How does VSendDocs Inc. use my information?

VSendDocs Inc. collects information to implement the document services you sign up for and to perform billing. Portions of your information—limited to what is included in completed forms—may be searchable by paying members for legally permissible purposes only.

On occasion, your contact information may be provided to an affiliate, partner, vendor, or sponsor offering highly relevant materials. You may opt out of receiving such information.

4. With whom does VSendDocs Inc. share my information?

VSendDocs Inc. shares information with its members and agents to process claims, billing, document processing, and legal service. Data may also be transmitted to the State as required by applicable laws and regulations.

The information VSendDocs Inc. collects is similar to information publicly available in files maintained by jurisdictional bodies unless otherwise protected or sealed.

Third-Party Data & Aggregated Information:
Under confidentiality agreements, VSendDocs Inc. may match user data with third-party datasets. Aggregated statistics (e.g., “45% of our users are M.D.s”) may be disclosed to partners, advertisers, or others for lawful business purposes.

Other Disclosures:
VSendDocs Inc. may disclose personal information when necessary to:

5. What choices do I have regarding the collection and use of my information?

VSendDocs Inc. may send you email or direct mail about our services. If you indicate interest in receiving offers from VSendDocs Inc. or its partners, you may also receive occasional promotional messages. Only VSendDocs Inc. and its trusted partners will send such communications, and only if you have not opted out.

Promotions may require your email address for updates. Promotion-related messages may include targeted advertisements unless you choose a no-email option.

We may also sell or rent publicly accessible case data in compliance with federal and state law. VSendDocs Inc. may collect non-personal data from transactions for analysis by industry entities.

All documents for which service is effectuated include a Proof of Service that identifies the legally required service details and affected parties.

6. How does VSendDocs Inc. protect my personal financial and health-related information?

Your financial and health-related information is extremely important to us. VSendDocs Inc. will never rent or sell such information except where it appears on legal documents that are publicly accessible.

Whenever we request credit card information for purchase or verification, we transmit it in encrypted form using industry-standard SSL (secure socket layer) encryption. SSL is also used for all claims-processing transactions.

7. What security precautions are in place to protect my information?

While VSendDocs Inc. uses SSL encryption and other safeguards, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the security of information you transmit online; you do so at your own risk.

8. How do the Civil Code and Labor Code protect my privacy?

California Labor Code §3762 prohibits insurers, administrators, and their agents from disclosing certain medical information about an employee who has filed a workers’ compensation claim, except under specifically permitted circumstances.

California Civil Code, Division 1, Part 2.6 (Confidentiality of Medical Information Act), requires strict confidentiality standards regarding medical information. Exceptions apply in the context of workers' compensation claims. Section 56.16 permits disclosure of limited non-medical details such as name, address, age, sex, and general condition.

Equivalent laws in other jurisdictions may apply, and VSendDocs Inc. will seek to comply with all relevant regulations.

9. What else should I know about my privacy?

Whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online—such as on message boards, via email, or in chat areas—others may collect and use that information. If you post personal information publicly, you may receive unsolicited messages in return.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your passwords and account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you are online.
